ConnexOntario offers free, confidential help 24/7, by phone, by text or through online chat. Calls go to 1-866-531-2600. To use text, send the word CONNEX to 247247. The chat service is at connexontario.ca.
Each route costs nothing to use. The service does not close overnight or on weekends, so a person can reach it from a casino floor, a parked car or home.
Self-exclusion for casinos and online sites
OLG's My PlayBreak lets a person self-exclude from Ontario casinos. Terms run for 3 or 6 months, or for 1 to 5 years. Enrolment goes through the OLG Support Centre at 1-800-387-0098, through on-site staff, or at a PlaySmart Centre. Once chosen, the term cannot be cancelled early, so the length deserves careful thought.
BetGuard covers online play. Run by iGaming Ontario since May 14, 2026, it excludes a person from all regulated Ontario gambling sites, including OLG.ca. Terms are 6 months, 1 year, 5 years or a custom term. It does not cover land-based casinos, so stepping away from both means using both programs. Details are at betguard.ca.
