The gaming floor and poker room
The casino covers 96,000 sq ft. It opened to the public on July 26, 2021. Its floor holds 2,200+ slot machines, 90+ live table games and 50+ electronic table games. Metal detectors stand at the public entrances to the gaming floors. The floor uses the Great Canadian Rewards card, which also works at Casino Ajax.
Poker sits apart from the main floor, on the third floor of the hotel. Players reach it by the hotel elevators. The room has 18 tables: 16 traditional tables and two High Stakes private rooms. In normal times it runs 24/7.
No Limit games include 1/3 and 10/20. A 25/50 No Limit game is available on request. Omaha runs at 20/40 half-kill, and the rake is 10% to a maximum of $20.

Hotel, The Arena and dining

The hotel has 275 rooms and opened on January 16, 2023. Of those, 22 are accessible rooms. Hotel guests get complimentary covered parking and WiFi. Rooms are 100% smoke-free, and cannabis is banned across the property. The hotel phone is 905-686-4005.
Inside the resort, The Arena is a 2,500-seat theatre and event space. Metal detectors stand at its public entrances, as they do at the gaming floors. The resort also holds the Great Canadian Sportsbook and meeting space.
Listed restaurants are Copperhorn Meet House, Casual, Sun Sui Wah, Rock House Grill and Zio's in The District, Sun Express, M Chá Bar and Starbucks. Several have changed hours for the time being, set out in the next section.
Changes during the labour disruption
Workers at Pickering Casino Resort and Casino Ajax have been on strike since July 31, 2026. As checked on October 7, 2026, slots and the hotel stay open 24/7. Temporarily closed are the Poker Room, Starbucks, the Casual and Copperhorn restaurants, the hotel pool and the overflow parking lot.
Table games run reduced hours. Wednesday to Saturday, baccarat runs 24 hours, while blackjack and roulette run 12 PM to 4 AM. Sunday to Tuesday, all table games run 12 PM to 4 AM. Sun Express is open 24/7, Sun Sui Wah daily 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM, and Rock House daily 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Zio's opens Friday and Saturday 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and M Chá Bar is closed on Mondays.
Getting there
The resort is at 888 Durham Live Avenue, Pickering, ON L1W 0C1, in the Durham Live district at Church and Bayly Streets. Parking is complimentary, in a multi-level garage and an outdoor lot.
Durham Region Transit route 917 runs along Bayly Street between Pickering Station and Ajax Station every 30 minutes. Its nearest scheduled stops to the resort are Bayly Westbound @ Church and Bayly Eastbound @ Church. Pickering GO and Ajax GO are on the Lakeshore East GO line.
A Casino Shuttle also runs to the resort seven days a week, for riders 19+ with a reservation. Pick-ups are at Apple Markville Plaza on Bullock Drive, Redlea Avenue by Milliken GO Station parking, and the YMCA entrance near Scarborough Town Centre.
